Appointment strengthens African representation and expertise on advisory team.

We are honoured to announce that accomplished artist, lyricist and songwriter, Solange Cesarovna, has joined the Fair Trade Music International advisory board.

Solange has played a pivotal role in establishing a new collective management organisation in her home country of Cabo Verde and brings a wealth of African music creator expertise to the group. As former head of the Sociedade Cabo-Verdiana de Música (SCM) her work has transformed the country’s music sector for composers, songwriters, publishers and producers.

In 2023, she was a recipient of the inaugural Fair Trade Music Award for outstanding achievement and we are delighted that she will form part of the selection committee for future nominees.
